My Fragrance Voyage – The Palazzo Las Vegas – A Review

It rises 642 feet above the famous Las Vegas Strip. Within 53 floors, it houses 3000 ultra-posh suites, the world’s most luxurious retail outlets and the finest restaurants. It also offers the best entertainment in the West. Even its name symbolizes ultimate luxury; its English translation is palace. I have to admit that this place almost gave me an orgasm. This $1.8 billion behemoth drained my energy in a good way. The location, building, resort and hotel I describe At the Palazzo Las Vegas, the best hotel-casino on the Strip. I felt compelled to tour the new Vegas luxury resort. This is my scent tour at Palazzo Las Vegas.

I dressed up as usual. But, this outfit was unusual; I wanted to feel comfortable during my visit. I wore blue Lee jeans, a forest green turtleneck by Perry Ellis, a brown Italian leather jacket and a pair of Stacy Adams shoes. Finally, I came up with my favorite little wallet, the Gucci wallet.

I hopped in my trusty truck and drove to the Palazzo. Parking was a breeze. There was a space waiting for me in a multi-level underground public garage, which is very unusual on the Strip. Most of the parking garages on the Strip are big scary things that are often hidden behind attractive Strip facades. I thought that the Sands Corporation, owner of the Venetian and the Palazzo, chose the right location for the garage; giving the Palazzo a more cosmopolitan feel.

I got out of my truck and went into the glass. I stepped on the escalator and was taken to the casino/lobby level. The Palazzo Casino was like the big casinos on the Strip: thousands of colorful and noisy poker machines and green gambling tables. I decided to leave the Casino and head towards the Palazzo. The look of the lobby is what I expected. It was beautiful and very big. I saw a beautiful fountain in the middle of it that stood under a large glass cabinet. It was surrounded by seductive glass, encouraging hotel patrons to live out their sinful dreams. It was a very nice center. Impressed by the architectural influence of the Palazzo’s lobby and the rest of the hotel, I asked the hotel manager what country or culture influenced the way the hotel was built. He explained that it was based on the architecture of Continental Europe. However, classical Italian architecture was the paradigm of architecture. Satisfied with her answer, I continued with the best part of my fragrance journey, visiting Shops at the Palazzo.

The first shop I went to was It’s new, an upscale and niche fragrance. The store was not open to the public, but the manager of the store allowed me to check it out. It was designed like the top perfumes but with a little twist — very bright, lots of glass, understated but very modern. The manager told me that Fresh was owned by luxury conglomerate LVMH, which owns Guerlain and Louis Vuitton. He mentioned his company moved to the Palazzo because they were adding stores to many of the resorts. In other words, Fresh was in high growth mode.

I asked her about the most popular fragrance among her customers. He said that Sake is the best seller. According to Osmoz, this fragrance is “a gentle and delicate scent, inspired by Japanese beauty traditions. Some famous perfumes according to the manager were there Sugar Lychee for women, the fragrance of a flower, and Cannabis Santal men, oriental-woody scent. I thanked the manager for taking the time to talk to me and continued on my way.

On my way to my next shopping destination, I passed by Tony Burch, a fashion house known for creating sophisticated women’s fashion at an affordable price. I also noticed signs of upcoming stores from these notable brands: Chloe, Diane Von Furstenberg, Fendi, Michael Kors, Montblanc, Ralph Lauren, Thomas Pink and Van Cleef & Arpels.

I finally reached my destination. It was Bottega Veneta. The look was what I would expect from many high end boutiques. It had many glass displays and was well lit. I also remembered its brown and tan colors. Her most beautiful and expensive bags were placed on glass shelves on the wall. At the back of the boutique, clothes hang on racks. The most popular and inexpensive items were placed on racks scattered throughout the store. I was greeted by an attractive young woman. I asked him about branded perfumes, but he told me that was not his area of expertise. I asked him about handbags. Her face lit up and she told me that Bottega Veneta was famous for its bags. The most popular bag designs were Cabat and Veneta. I thank him for talking to me, and I go to my next dealership.

I later found out that Bottega Veneta does not make perfumes for people. Make a homemade scent, called a scented candle Intreccio N. 1. It has notes of cedar, eucalyptus, hay and leather.

The next shop I went to was Coach. I wanted to smell a new and exclusive fashion house fragrance for women, A coach is a coach. When I entered the store, I asked the young saleswoman if I could get a sample of the perfume. You told me there were no samples available. I asked him about the tester, and he pointed towards the center of the store. It was on a medium sized glass display table. When I went to the table I was greeted by an old Asian coach. I told him I wanted to smell the Coach, it smells good. He sprayed the perfume on a sample sheet and gave it to me to smell. Its smell was very sweet. It reminded me of another perfume I loved, Tresor by Lancome. The perfume is combined with amber, genet, jasmine, mimosa, vanilla and wood notes. I would give this fragrance to the women in my life. And, I’m going to buy it from Coach at the Palazzo.

After my visit to Coach, I headed on Barneys New York. My visit to the venerable store was the height of my fragrance journey.

I first entered Barneys through its Shoppes entrance. But, I wanted to experience the first visit. So, I ran to the first floor of the mall and exited the Strip entrance. Now I was ready for my grand entrance. I threw back my long invisible hair and walked into Barneys from the Strip. The first department I came across was women’s accessories. It was almost every upscale brand I could think of, like Fendi, Givenchy, Lanvin, Mac Jacobs, Mui Mui and Prada. After my trip to the accessories department, I decided to do my real job, visiting the men’s and women’s fragrance department.

The women’s perfume department was the first I visited. Located on the first floor of Barneys, at the back of the store. When I got to this section, I immediately saw a perfumer and asked him this question, “Why is Barneys so special?” He replied that the seller is unique when it comes to perfumes. It carries a strong fragrance. In other words, most of the colognes and perfumes sold at Barneys are available either at designer perfume stores or at Barneys. His answer touched me. A few minutes after speaking with the perfumer, I was greeted by a beautiful middle-aged woman. He became my personal guide in this field and introduced me to makeup Aqua di Parma. Since 1916, the elite of the world and those who wish to join this group have always loved its perfumes. It is still distilled by hand, and its packaging is designed by hand. I smelled both of them, and I have to admit that they fit my taste. But, if you want to smell like the rich and famous, perfumes from Aqua di Parma are a must have. According to my fragrance guide, celebrities love it.

After my experience with Aqua di Parma, he took me to the left of the perfume department and showed me a strange machine. It was large, silver; it looked like medieval times. I saw buckets, perfume bottles, tubes and measuring machines nearby. I looked at the top of the machine and the name Le Labo appeared. According to my guide, this place is known as Le Labo Lab. This olfactory experience is only available at Barneys. Barneys experts can blend different fragrances to create a personalized perfume. This is a must for perfume lovers and gift givers. Pre-made perfumes for men and women are also sold. One of the “pre-mades” I tried was Rose 31. It smelled light, which meant it could be worn anytime, anywhere. Warm, spicy and woody notes create this masculine floral fragrance. I may have to add this to my fragrance wardrobe.

My experience with Le Labo ended, and my guide showed me another niche brand. This feature was called Editions De Parfums by Federic Malle. Monsiuer Malle gathered the top noses in the perfume industry to create 16 unique fragrances according to a Barneys expert. These noses created the scents of the top houses of Paris. According to my guide, most Editions de Parfums perfumes are unisex.

Barneys has created a unique sampling experience like this with my guidance. He took me to two large metal electrical booths that reminded me of the tornado exhibit at the Exploratorium in San Francisco. He mentioned that they were used to sample the brand’s fragrances. He opened one of them, opened the top glass door and sprayed the fragrance of my choice on it. It was Carnal Rose, the flower of men and women. He closed the tent door, after a few minutes, he opened it again and told me to take a drink. He explained that the booths give customers the authentic fragrance of Edition de Parfums. I thanked my tour guide for spending time with me and went to the men’s fragrance section on the third floor.

When I got to the third floor, I noticed something strange about the Barneys signage. The names of the designers were written on the shop’s light wooden floors. I thought this type of show was very different. Suddenly, I saw the men’s fragrance counter. When I got there, I was greeted by a beautiful and young perfumer. He showed me the special Barneys cologne. It was called Bois 1920. The history of this cologne began in 1920 with Guido Galardi. He tried to use natural perfumes and scents that always fascinated him. He eventually opened a perfumery called Bottega Italiana Spigo in Florence, Italy, which attracted many perfume lovers. Unfortunately, the perfumery was closed after five years after his son did not want to continue the business. In 2005, his grandson founded Bois 1920 and redefined Galardi’s formula. After reading and hearing the story of Bois 1920, I wish I had seen it during my visit to Barneys. It will go on my wish list

A young perfumer gave me a great overview of Barneys New York in Las Vegas. He told me that this seller is different. Sophisticated, positive and very funny.

My sweet trip to At the Palazzo Las Vegas it’s finished. This beautiful hotel with its upscale shopping promenade is a great upgrade to the Las Vegas Strip. I’m sure it will compete well with other destinations on the Strip. So, when you visit my town, be sure to visit the Palazzo and its shops. I guarantee you will be surprised.
