Mentors, Advisors, and Coaches: It Takes a Village to Achieve Success

In recent months, I have been exposed to a recurring vision. Even in my efforts to market and promote my business; establishing my services as a career and life coach; improve my speaking skills by participating in the WAO Toastmasters club; helping others establish their business endeavors; or finishing the writing of my new book, I have experienced – over and over again – the idea that “it takes a village to raise a child.”

Actually, because of these “aha” moments, I now like to say “it takes a village to raise someone to success.”

Wouldn’t you agree?

If it wasn’t obvious to me before, it’s become very clear to me now that we all need help if we want to succeed in what we do.

However, although I am more aware of this fact, I can remember times in my life and career when I did (and chose to do) everything by myself. I did not seek or rely on the help of others to help me achieve my success.

What about you?

Have you connected with someone who can help you move beyond the obstacles in your life to your personal success?

Have you established relationships with others who can help you advance your career?

Do you have an established “circle of influence” that can help you achieve your life and/or career goals?

If you were able to answer “YES” to all three of these questions, you’re in great shape. I admire you for your wisdom and actions.

However, if you answered “NO” to most of these questions, I want you to analyze why and make the necessary adjustments to connect continuously with those who can help you in your need for productivity and success.

Author Pam Grout says, “We all stand on others’ shoulders at different times as we learn and grow and develop new roles.”

You are right. I can honestly say that I did just that. I call the shoulders of those we stand on “community” who help us learn, develop and grow.

Although I have fallen victim time and time again to take a solo journey towards my success, I am wise enough to have my “companions” that I have been able to stand on and have helped me achieve my personal and professional success. .

What about you?

Who are your “residents”?

Do you have a support group you can turn to for help?

Since the saying “it takes a village to raise a man to success” has been very prominent in my life lately, I’ve looked at where I’ve been successful and the kind of “people” that led me to it. success.

I want to share with you here what I call my MAC formula for the “people” you need in your life who can help you achieve your success. Mentors, mentors, and coaches – those are the “communities” that can help you achieve your success.

But what is a mentor? What is a mentor? What is a coach? How do they help? Why are “locals” important to your success?

Let’s take a look below at my recommended “residents” and why you can turn to them for help:

STUDENTS

Counselors are the first group of “communities” that I believe can help you. My personal philosophy about mentors is that they are people who can help you “make efforts, look for changes, and successfully overcome reality.” Stated another way, mentors are a trusted advisor or guide. The blessing of having a relationship with mentors is that they can help you learn more about yourself; encourage and encourage you when you are discouraged; and help you identify and achieve your goals.

FOR CONSULTANTS

The second group of “residents” I recommend that you work with consultants. Mentors are people who have in-depth knowledge in a specific area related to your life and/or career. A mentor is a great resource because they are like a guidance counselor, teacher and friend. Although they won’t tell what to do, they will help you figure out what to do. With the help of a mentor, you will be able to find solutions to your problems and new ways to your success.

COACHES

The last group of “communities” that I believe will be helpful in helping you achieve your success are the coaches. Coaches are people who can help you in the process of achieving personal or professional results. When you connect with a coach, you will be working with a partner who is committed to encouraging you to expand your personal and professional potential.

Well, that’s it – my MAC formula for success. Mentors, mentors, and coaches are the “communities” that have helped me achieve my personal and professional success. That’s why I recommend getting in touch with yours so you can achieve your personal and professional success, too.

Which ones are you currently in contact with? Which ones should you connect to? What personal achievement are you striving to achieve? How do you believe they can help you in your career success?

Zig Ziglar says “”Success depends on sweat glands.” When you use my MAC formula to connect with Consultants, Mentors, and Coaches, your sweat glands will be fueled by a village that can help you achieve your success. .
