The Yellowstone Drag Strip in Acton, Montana features a 1/4 mile NHRA approved track with eight 300 ft lanes and a 100 ft fire pit. The state of the art compulink timing devices and Daktronic LED scoreboards make it a driver’s favorite. Its location just three miles west of Acton and 20 minutes from Billings makes it centrally located for fans from all over. The follow-up events start in April and the excitement doesn’t stop until October. Yellowstone Drag hosts IDRA, Street Legals, NHRDA, NHRA, Wheel Stander, 2 Wheel Madness, Funny Cars, Pro Mods, and much more. They also host various special events throughout the year. Spectator fees start at $20.00 for adults with discounts for seniors and children. Driver entry fees vary by class from $10.00 for Jr. Dragster to $55.00 for Super Pro.

The Dude Ranch Lodge located in the park offers special NHRA discounts. Mission Valley Speedway in Pablo has been providing racing excitement for nearly 30 years. The track got a facelift in 1997 with a new 3/8 mile track making it the fastest and longest in the northwest. Speeds in excess of 100 mph were reached at the strip and Super stocks closed in the 80’s. MVS hosts weekly races for Stock cars, Super stocks, Noon’s Formula Indy’s, MGD Light Hobby’s, Budweiser Compacts, Bombers, and dual control cruisers. The track also sponsors many special events such as the NSRA 360 Winged Sprints, Northwest Bump and Pass, Flathead Legends and Canadian Old Timers. General admission to events starts at $8.00 per ticket for adults.

Another favorite track in Montana is Raceway Park in Kalispell. The track has ¼ of asphalt featuring Limited Players, Very Late Models, Hobby Stocks, Explosives, Compacts, Cruisers, Flathead Legends, Bandoleros, Thunder Roadsters and Hornets. The raceway hosts the Canadian Super Truck Racing Series, ARCA West Late Model, NEWALTA Late Model Challenge, Northwest Modifieds, and NW Legends. One of the main events of the season is the Coors Light Montana 200 in July. The three-day event is the largest sporting event in Montana. The season is full of racing fun and the whole family can enjoy special events throughout the year.

Free RV parking is allowed at the track; however there are no hook ups available. Local campground/RV parks include; Glacier Peaks RV, Greenwood Village, Spruce Park Campground and Glacier Pines. There are also many hotels in this area. Tickets for most events start at $8.50 per adult ticket.
