Excel Tip – Using Names To Quickly Navigate Your Excel Work Book

By naming a range of cells, a function, a constant, or a table in Excel we can make life easier for ourselves in many ways.

By naming the cells we can give formula context and meaning, for example – let’s take a simple formula

= AMOUNT(A2:A13) which would mean more to us if it was written as

=SUM(sumofmonthlysales). By simply calling the monthly sales cells we can make this formula more understandable.
